Primary and presidential debates have been a waste of time for everyone. Ditto most interviews with Trump. The press needs to ask better questions. Journalists who interview the president need to establish two things— A. that he is lying or, B. that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Or both.

For example—- losers and suckers. It would be great for the four Atlantic sources to have the integrity to repeat in public what they told the reporter in private. Profiles in courage being scarce as they are (apart from the notable exceptions of those like Lt. Colonel Vindman) let’s not hold our breath. Even then, Trump will go all grade school on them and call them fibbers. Or worse.

Just imbed in the question what you know or believe to be true and let him demonstrate that he does not, in fact know more than the average fifth grader.

◦ A controversy exists with regard to what you may or may not have said about the 1800 fallen American Marines buried in the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris. A more important question for the American people is what you mean when you campaign against American involvement in endless wars. European nationalism and mutual defense alliances were two of the main causes of WW1. Those two issues still exist. Do you agree with the American decision to enter WW1? What are your criteria for American involvement in future wars in Europe and elsewhere?
