Wrong answer.
Barrett (So tempting to call her Judge Amy) got no Democratic votes because RBG’s seat was Biden’s to fill.
2nd consecutive stolen seat. Scalia’s seat was Obama’s to fill. Merrick Garland did not even receive courtesy meetings with Republican members of the Judiciary Committee.
Democrats on the committee had months to prepare for these false equivalency questions. This is the downside of the “God’s got you” approach.
These are not free-floating events. There is a political context for all of them which should be explained to the public. GOP gangsterism needs to be called out at every opportunity.
