Conspicuously missing from the CBS article How the VP debate rules will work for the Walz-Vance 2024 showdown is any reference to one of the most contentious issues of the presidential debate and, by extension, to the entire campaign— there will be no live fact checking.
The day before the vice presidential debate, Donald Trump lied in Valdosta, GA about the inability of Republican Governor Brian Kemp to speak with President Biden about federal aid to storm-ravaged Georgia.
CNN forced JD Vance to admit that he “was not above creating content,” e.g. he was fine with lying to the press.
During the presidential debate fact-checking moderators at ABC were able to interject and inform the public that there was no evidence of Haitian immigrants eating pets and that killing babies was illegal in all 50 states.
Nevertheless, CBS has instructed its moderators to allow JD Vance to lie his ass off.
Knowa De Baraso who, when confronted at the Democratic National Convention by MAGA supporter–Trump’s pillow guy–about unsubstantiated claims of voting irregularities in Georgia in 2020 replied “Where’s your proof? So your source is ‘trust me bro?’”
