I’ve never supported proposals to expand the Supreme Court in the past, but if that becomes the only way to restore public confidence in the judicial branch, then it will have to be done. We should also mandate that every president’s Supreme Court nominees get a timely hearing and an up or down vote in the Senate, politics be damned.
